The Next Big Ideas Conference

February 20–21, 2026

Registration is open for our second The Next Big Ideas Conference, February 20–21, 2026, on the campus of Arizona State University. Presentations will be as varied as issues of social class, connecting our undergraduates to world events, and climate psychology. This conference will be co-sponsored by Division 7 (Developmental Psychology), Division 9 (Social Issues), Division 24 (Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology), and Division 34 (Environmental Psychology).

Human Agency in the Age of Generative AI

This new online session on February 10, 2026, examines how generative AI use interacts with human agency and executive function, drawing on a large-scale empirical study. Sarah Baldeo introduces a neuroscience-grounded framework for using AI in ways that support attention, judgment, and cognitive endurance.
